Ceramic Day Out

On a Saturday end of April, we took a little girls day out to a place in Univ. Village that still does the "paint your own ceramics" thing. We've done this many times before, but felt like being creative. Here we are getting all artsy together. We each did a different bowl this time.

Here's Michelle's "before" shot. She used her favorite browns and greens.

Here's Nicole's and you can't even tell what colors these really are until it is fired! Here's how theirs turned out. Very fun and lovely and unique.
Mine looked like this before firing. I had to use three coats of a special glaze and it cost more to use it. It was called Ironstone and I adored the sample chip of it. Here it just looks like terra cotta:
Then afterwards you got this amazing look! I am in love with it! Isn't it fabulous?

LOVE THIS!....Now, back to the wedding showers...another one tomorrow!

There's Firefly Ceramics in Ventura, and I still haven't gone. This is such a neat thing to do!
